Merpati, prices slide 50% Number of Passengers

PT Merpati Nusantara Airlines (MNA) reveals chaotic MA-60 aircraft purchases from Xian Aircraft Industrial Corporation, and the emergence of negative news about aircraft components made of wood, making national airline passenger numbers are down about 50 percent in some specific flight routes.
“There is a passenger who canceled flights to some routes,” said Commissioner of Merpati Nusantara Airlines Didu in Jakarta, Friday, May 13, 2011.

Pigeon calculations, operational cost the company every month reached Rp140 billion per month. While income Merpati recorded only Rp110 billion, so there is a shortage of operational cost Rp30 billion.
In peak season, Pigeon estimates obtained average income Rp160 billion to Rp170 billion per month.
