Tenth hotel is the Sun Beach Resort & Spa (Bali), Discovery Kartika Plaza Hotel (Bali), Holiday Inn Resort (Batam), Angsana Bintan, Melia Benoa Bali, Losari Spa Retreat & Coffee Plantation, The St. Regis Bali Resort, The Dharmawangsa Jakarta, and the Hotel Gran Melia Jakarta.
In the ASEAN Green Hotel Award 2012 which became part of the ASEAN Tourism Forum 2012 in Manado, North Sulawesi, Brunei Darussalam propose one hotel, Cambodia 10 hotels, 10 hotels Laos, Malaysia 10 hotels, 10 hotels Myanmar, the Philippines 2 hotels, Singapore 10 hotels, Thailand Vietnam 10 hotels and 10 hotels.
ASEAN Green Hotel Award is organized by the bestowal of the member countries of ASEAN, as a token of appreciation and recognition of the various industry parties working in the field of hospitality businesses that implement environmentally friendly principles.
Written statement received by VIVAnews, Thursday night, the Green Award is held every two years. The principle of environmentally friendly became a major aspect of the assessment, as stipulated in the document that initiated the ASEAN Green Hotel Standard, as it has been agreed by all member countries of ASEAN since it was first designed in 2007.
This document covers a number of criteria and essential requirements as follows:
· Environmental policies and activities of the operation of hotels
· Utilization and use of green products
· Cooperation with communities and local organizations
· Human resources development
· Solid waste management
· Energy efficiency
· Water efficiency
· Air quality management (indoor and outdoor)
· Noise pollution control
· Waste water treatment and management
· Toxic and chemical substance disposal management
