George-Arifin remain Forward on Election PSSI

Pair of George Toisutta and Arifin Panigoro forward in Congress insisted that PSSI would be held next May 20. Team claims success of this pair has got support of a majority owner of the voice.

Chief public relations team GT-AP, Halim Mahfudz, told reporters asserted FIFA should approve the nomination of the GT-AP. The reason, they have received support from a majority of voters PSSI.

Halim claimed the couple had received AP GT-92 support votes owners. A total of 72 of them had even officially return nomination forms to the secretariat at the registration office PSSI.

According to Halim, FIFA should see the realities in the country. Halim also said that the highest in the world football authority is not entitled to block the nomination of a person.

“FIFA or whoever, must respect the majority vote of owners who gave voice to the pack support George and Mr Arifin. That’s the reality on the ground,” Halim said in a press conference.

“FIFA is not the judiciary, and no right to restrict one’s candidacy, which allowed the Election Committee and Appeal Committee.”

George and Arifin is two of the four names that were previously prohibited from participating in election stock PSSI by FIFA. They were asked to not go forward because previously been annulled PSSI Appeal Committee.

Normalization Committee recently met with FIFA. However, world football authorities did not move and urged the Committee to continue running Normalization decision made on 4 April.

This means that George and Arifin return can not be nominated. Likewise with the two other candidates, namely Nurdin Halid and Nirwan Bakrie.

Previously, Director of Membership and Development Association FIFA, Thierry Regenass reject the nomination of four candidates. 15 April last, the fourth candidate Regenass again prohibit it.

Faced with this situation, the stronghold of the GT-AP also has pairs of horses. “We’ve been communicating with FIFA and hope they not only get information from one party, namely PSSI alone,” said Halim.

Regarding the possibility of penalizing FIFA Indonesia, Halim has not been able to talk a lot. He simply said, “We’ll see first is the extent to which FIFA punishment.”
